Timeless Santorini
After 1956's erthquake, the building continued its life as a family home, remaining in the same family while standing proudly through the years, a witness to change and renewal. During this period, it hosted notable figures from the political and cultural world, including greek General Kondylis, the renowned Austrian painter René, the former Prime Minister of Canada Trudeau, and others.
Since 1985, the house has welcomed guests, offering an authentic Santorini experience. Today, Kamares Neoklasiko continues to tell its story through its spaces: the spacious shared courtyard with breathtaking views of the Caldera and volcano, and the traditional view of one of the island’s rare “rimidia” — cobblestone pedestrian paths that preserve the authentic character of Santorini.
